Midday crash reset

The focus left the building. Caffeine already happened. Pushing harder usually makes the fog denser—so we do the opposite: interrupt, land, then choose the next hour with clear eyes.

  1. Step away from the screen loop

Close the tab or lock the phone. Stand up if you can. Walk to a window, a hallway, or just the edge of the room. Give your eyes something farther than arm’s length for one full minute. Let the glare drain off.

  2. Feed the body something true

Drink water. Eat a small, real snack if you skipped lunch—protein or fruit beats another empty sugar spike. You’re not optimizing macros; you’re telling your nervous system the afternoon isn’t a crisis.

  3. Pick the next hour, not the whole day

Write (or whisper) one unfinished thing that actually moves the needle. Set a soft timer for 25–40 minutes. When it ends, you’re allowed to stop. Progress over punishment.
